ELIMINATING CONTRAST
&
BUILDING ON COMMON GROUND

Born Kevin Lenell Woods Johnson a Fort Worth Texas native. I have spent most of my adult life volunteering and assisting those in need. Most of my early work was divided between the Church and the Community assisting the elderly, youth and volunteering in our community center. After the military I became a union rep for Mrs. Baird's Bakery where I learned to be a liaison and to deescalate the
contrast between employer and employee. Having earned a degree in sociology and psychology at West Texas A&M, I felt it was time to put my knowledge to practice. So I worked for Oceans Behavioral Hospital, Discovery Point Retreat and Catholic Charities with MHMR, CPS, abuse and drug stricken families while attending Liberty University working towards my master's degree. I have spent over 15 years working with low income families assisting children, adult, as well as the elderly with coping methods and personal achievements. For both mental health and drug addiction I use informed eclecticism while integrated
with 12 step programs. I believe that a support system is primary in treatment even if family is not present. My technique is solution-focused, which has an evidence-based approach to building positive solutions. I have found that by extracting the contrast and focusing on positive similarities, we can build bonds towards common goals. I have contracted my services through community outreach, company and private lectures for the last 10 years. Through Unite with Us not against Us I plan to continue being a progressive voice for the voiceless.
